The blessed, glowing star and one of the most prominent torch bearer of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jama’at and Khalifa of Mufti e Azam Hind, Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma (Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha) was born on Saturday, 2nd Ramadan ul Mubarak, 1356 Hijri (6th November 1937). The time of the day when Hazrat came into this world was the blessed time of dawn. He was born in Ghosi, Azamgarh district of the northern state of India, Uttar Pradesh.

The family into which Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha was born was studded with highly learned and spiritually inclined diamonds. This provided a great platform to Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha and helped shape his impeccable personality. The Shajra e Nasab or Pedigree chart of Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma is as follows:

Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Saheb Ibn Hazrat Alhaj Hassan Saheb Ibn Hazrat Hafiz Muhammad Jameeullah Saheb Ibn Shaikhul Huffaz Hazrat Alhaj Al Hafeez Ahmed Saheb Alaihim ar-raHmah wa ar-Ridwan. Hazrat Shaikhul Huffaz Ahmed Saheb Alaihim ar-raHmah wa ar-Ridwan undertook journey on foot to perform Hajj e BaitUllah in the mid 19th century. The entire journey took about 12 months to complete. Such was his fervor and steadfastness when it came to religious matters.

Visaal Sharief: 15th Zil Hajj 1441, 6th August 2020, Thursday 10.30 A.M. At Residence, Shanti Nagar, Nagpur, India. Perfomed 32 Hajj in his life time, last hajj at the age of 84 Years in 2019.

Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma obtained his entire education under the guidance of very able and highly respected scholars of the day. He learnt Qur’an e Kareem (Naazira) from a well known scholar of Kareemudeenpur Janab Miyanji Muhammad Taqi Saheb. Hazrat studied Urdu, Mathematics and other subjects from Madrasa e Shamsul Uloom, Ghosi and excelled in all subjects. After having completed the foundation programs, Hazrat Ashraf Ul Fuqaha commenced learning Farsi (Persian) in the same Madrasa under the able guidance of Hazrat Samiullah Saheb Alaihim ar-raHmah. He further learnt advanced Farsi for 3 years under the auspices of Hazrat Moulana Muhammad Syed Khan Saheb Alaihim ar-raHmah. His paternal uncle Hazrat Moulana Shamsuddeen Saheb was instrumental in teaching Hazrat fundamentals of Arabic language and learned advanced Arabic grammar under the blessed auspices of Shaarihe Bukhari Hazrat Mufti Muhammad Shareef ul Haq Saheb Alaihim ar-raHmah.

In 1951 Jalaalatul llm Sarkar Hafeez e Millat Huzur Muhaddise Muradabadi (Founder of Darul Uloom Fazl e Rahmaniya, Pachpadwa, Gonda District, UP) invited Shaarihe Bukhari Hazrat Mufti Muhammad Shareef ul Haq Saheb Alaihim ar-raHmah. Hazrat Ashraf Ul Fuqaha accompanied his noble teacher Shaarihe Bukhari Hazrat to Darul Uloom Fazl e Rahmaniya and stay put there for a period of 2 years. This show the ardent passion of Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma in seeking knowledge. During his stay of 2 years, Hazrat Ashraf Ul Fuqaha further studied and progressed in advanced Arabic grammar (Sharah Jaami).

During this time, the blessed son of Huzur Shadrushshariah, Hazrat Allama Moulana Qari Raza ul Mustafa Saheb Amjadi was also teaching at Darul Uloom Fazl e Rahmaniya. Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma seized this opportunity and learnt various subjects under is blessed guidance.

In the year 1953, Huzur Sarkar Mufti e Azam e Hind, Hazrat Mustafa Raza Khan Noorie invited Shaarihe Bukhari Hazrat Mufti Muhammad Shareef ul Haq Saheb Alaihim ar-raHmah to Bareily Sharief. As was the usual practice, Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma accompanied his noble teacher and was blessed with the company of Mufti e Azam e Hind. He successfully completed his formal education in 1957 from Darul Uloom Mazhare Islam, Bareily Sharief.

Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma had the opportunity to study under the guidance of many renowned scholars of the day. A few prominent teachers of Hazrat are as follows:

  1. Faqhee ul Asr, Shaarihe Bukhari Hazrat Mufti Muhammad Shareef ul Haq Saheb Alaihim ar-raHmah
  2. His maternal uncle, Shaikhul Ulema Moulana Mufti Gulam Jeelani Saheb Alaihim ar-raHmah
  3. Sadrul Ulema Moulana Mufti SanaUllah Amjadi Aazmi Alaihim ar-raHmah
  4. Shaikhul Ma’mulat Hazrat Moinudeen Khan Saheb Alaihim ar-raHmah, Ghosi
  5. Sadrul Ulema Mufti Hazrat Tahseen Raza Khan Saheb Alaihim ar-raHmah, Bareily Sharief.

Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha studied most subjects under the guidance of his beloved teacher Shaarihe Bukhari Hazrat Mufti Muhammad Shareef ul Haq Saheb Alaihim ar-raHmah. Therefore Hazrat Ashraf Ul Fuqaha lovingly refers to his beloved teacher as “Ustad e Kul”. Hazrat Shaarihe Bukhari considered Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma as his spiritual son and inheritor of his vast knowledge. Hazrat Shaarihe Bukhari was extremely proud of his very noble student and would usually publicly state his love for his student. There were many instances where his love for his special student was manifest. The great love of the teacher for his student is evident from the following incident. In 1992 Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma with the intention of attending the Urs e Qasimi, went to Mahrehra Sharief. After offering his Maghrib prayers, Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma went to meet Ahsanul Ulema Hazrat Mustafa Haider Hassan Miyan and seek his blessings. When he reached the venue, he found his beloved teacher Hazrat Shaarihe Bukhari in company of Hazrat Ahsanul Ulema. When Hazrat Shaarihe Bukhari saw Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma, he became extremely elated, held his hand and made him sit next to him. He introduced Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma to Hazrat Ahsanul Ulema in following words: “Huzur, he is Mujeeb Ashraf, Nephew of Shaikhul Ulema Moulana Mufti Gulam Jeelani Saheb Alaihim ar-raHmah and Raeez Ul Asqiya Hazrat Gulam Yazdani Saheb. He is my beloved student and tomorrow when Allah Ta’ala asks me on the day of resurrection, what I have got with me, I will point towards Mujeeb Ashraf”. While saying this, he started weeping. The people gathered there and even Hazrat Ahsanul Ulema were extremely moved having witnessed the divine love between the teacher and the student. Hazrat Ahsanul Ulema put his blessed hand on the head and chest of Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma and made supplication (dua) for him. This proves how much love and affection Hazrat Shaarihe Bukhari had for his beloved student and his knowledge.

Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma has blessed many of his students with the divine knowledge over the past several years. He has imparted knowledge to innumerable students. The most prominent students of Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma are as follows:

Only a few Ulema who studied under the guidance of Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma are mentioned above. Several of Hazrat’s students are serving the Deen in India and across the globe. Allah ta’ala give all of them success in all their initiatives in sadqa of his Beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa Salallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam. Aameen.

This is precisely the reason Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla Hafidahullah is given the titles of “Ashraf Ul Fuqaha”, “Ustad ul Assateza” “Ustad ul Ulema” and “Ashraf Ul Ulema” along with several other titles. On 23rd February 2008 The title of “Ashraful Fuqaha” was given to Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma in Jamshedpur on the occasion of the Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Allama Arshadul Qadri Alaihim ar-raHmah and in the August presence of several Ulema such as Hazrat Gulam Zarqhani Qibla, Abdul Hafeez Sahab, Shaikh ul Hadees from various Madaaris et.c. These events true manifestation of Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla Hafidahullah’s immense passion to spread the correct Deen cutting across all boundaries.

Ashraf ul Fuqaha Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma became Mureed (spiritual disciple) of Huzur Sarkar Mufti e Azam e Hind Hazrat Mustafa

Raza Qadri Alaihim ar-raHmah while he was still obtaining his formal education. The blessed day on which Hazrat Ashraful Ulema became Mureed of Huzur Sarkar Mufti e Azam e Hind coincided with 24th Safar 1375 (12 October 1955) at Bareily Sharief. On the same evening after Isha prayers, Huzur Sarkar Mufti e Azam e Hind Hazrat Mustafa Raza Qadri Alaihim ar-raHmah gave permission to both Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma and Shaarihe Bukhari Hazrat Mufti Muhammad Shareef ul Haq Saheb Alaihim ar-raHmah to write and draw the Taweezaat of Silsilaye Aaliya, Qadriya, Barakatiya and Razawiya.

In Hijri 1375 corresponding to 1960, Huzur Sarkar Mufti e Azam e Hind Hazrat Mustafa Raza Qadri Alaihim ar-raHmah visited Nagpur where Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma had already started teaching after having graduated in 1957. Huzur Sarkar Mufti e Azam e Hind Hazrat Mustafa Raza Qadri Alaihim ar-raHmah with utmost love, affection and blessings conferred Khilafat to Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha in presence of several Ulema and gathered public. Huzur Sarkar Mufti e Azam e Hind gave Ijaazah for 16 Silaasil to Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma.

Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma was also conferred Khilafat by many distinguished Ulemas such as Hazrat Ashraf Miya Alaihim ar-raHmah. In 1991, the descendant of Huzur Sarkar Ghouse e Azam RadiAllahu Ta’ala Anho, Hazrat Syed Yousuf Jeelani Alaihim ar-raHmah, Baghdad, conferred Khilafat to Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma in presence of distinguished religious personalities.

In addition to the above, Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha was also conferred Khilafat in 2011 in Maidaan e Arafat by the son of Qutb e Madina, Hazrat Moulana Fazlurrahman Sahab Alaihim ar-raHmah.

Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma completed his formal education in the year 1957. In the same year, one of India’s most important and largest centre of Islamic education Jamiya Arabia Islamia, Nagpur, required a competent and able Naeeb e Shaikhul Hadees at the institution. The founder of Jamiya Arabia Islamia, Nagpur, Hazrat Mufti Abdul Rasheed Saheb Fatehpuri wrote a letter to Shaarihe Bukhari Hazrat Mufti Muhammad Shareef ul Haq Saheb

Alaihim ar-raHmah seeking his help in finding the right candidate. Both these scholars unanimously then decided to engage Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma. This talented young, qualified and knowledgeable graduate was sent to Nagpur and handed over the responsibility of Naeeb e Shaikhul Hadees. Having assessed the abilities of this young talented teacher, Hazrat Mufti Abdul Rasheed Saheb Fatehpuri soon transferred him to a branch of Jamiya Arabia Islamia in Kaamti as the head of the branch with the intention of improving the quality of teaching there. Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma imparted knowledge in this branch for over 2 years and resigned from the post. Huzur Sarkar Mufti e Azam e Hind directed him to lead prayers (Imamat) and read sermons at an under construction Memon Masjid in Nagpur. After few months, he was again solicited by Hazrat Mufti Abdul Rasheed Saheb Fatehpuri to the position of Shaikhul Hadees at Jamiya Arabia Islamia, Nagpur. Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma served in this position for 5 years from 1961 – 1965 with great devotion and responsibility. All his students were in awe of him owing to his immense knowledge and impeccable behavior and mannerisms.

Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha decided to implement his vision of establishing an institution that would help spread the light of Deen through the teachings of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jama’at, Maslake Aala Hazrat. Hazrat Muhammad Mujeeb Ashraf Qibla AlaihirRahma laid the foundation stone of Al Jaamiyatur Razwiyah Darul Uloom Amjadiya in Nagpur in the year 1966 which was inaugurated by Huzur Sarkar Mufti e Azam e Hind. He worked tirelessly to establish this institution and made many sacrifices. In the year 1988, a branch of Darul Uloom Amjadiya was established in Bothli, Maharashtra. These institutions today are serving the needs of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jama’at, Maslake Aala Hazrat and are basked in full glory of their achievements over the last several years. Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha till day actively participates in the working of these institutions and provides the necessary guidance.

Alhamdulillah, huge crowds are attracted towards Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha due to his ardent love for Tajdaar e Qa’inaat Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa Salallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam and his exemplary knowledge, simplicity, impeccable personality, mannerisms and behavior. Owing to these facts, he has several Khulafa and Spiritual Disciples spread across the country and globe.

Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha confers Khilafat to only those individuals who are steadfast on Deen and erudite individuals. He adopts stringent criteria and only those meeting the criteria are conferred with Khilafat. His few renowned and prominent Khulafa are as follows:

Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha’s spiritual disciples are spread around the world. There are in excess of One Hundred Thousand Mureedeen of Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha, who maintain a close bond with their spiritual master. Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha is always eager to answer queries of his disciples or other people keen to assimilate knowledge. Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha always responds to queries commensurate with the level of understanding of the person posing the questions. This has made him extremely popular with masses and has a great following.

As mentioned earlier, Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha founded Al Jaamiyatur Razwiyah Darul Uloom Amjadiya in Nagpur in the year 1966 and further expanded it by establishing a branch of this institution in Bothli, Maharashtra. All praise be to Allah, students from all across the country are quenching their thirst for knowledge in these sublime institutions. Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha not just founded

these institutions but has helped establish several other institutions across the country. He is a constant source of inspiration and guidance to students and teachers associated with these institutions. All these centers of learning are steadily scaling greater heights day by day. For instance, a well known city of Gujarat, Nawsari was a well known center of deviant sects of Islam and there was no one here supporting the cause of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jama’at. In such tough terrain, Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha lay the founding stone of Darul Uloom Anwaar e Raza in 1988. All praise be to Allah, this institution is now considered one of the largest and best centers of learning in entire Gujarat. This institution today is serving the noble cause of Deen and is being run by the very able Khalifa of Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha, Hazrat Allama Moulana Gulam Mustafa Qadri Barkati Saheb. Allah Ta’ala grant all these institutions much more success and ability to scale new heights in serving the true Deen. Aameen.

Similarly, in the southern part of India, a sublime institution was established in Raichur in Hijri 1408 or year 1988 bearing the name Darul Uloom Raza e Mustafa Gulshan e Razvi. This great institution is also scaling new heights under the able guidance of the great Khalifa of Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha, Hazrat Moulana Hafiz Muhammad Qalandar Saheb. Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha provides constant spiritual guidance in running this sublime institution and is very closely associated with it to date.

Apart, there are 3 other centers of learning established in the state of Andhra Pradesh under the auspices of Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha. Darul Uloom Anwaar e Mustafa was established in Siddipet, District Kareem Nagar. This institution is being managed by one of the most revered Mureed of Hazrat Ashraful Ulema, Syed Hussain Saheb. Similarly, Madrasa e Subhaniya, Peddapalli, and Madrasa e Khairul Uloom, Warangal, are two other institutions working tirelessly to spread the light of knowledge and are headed by Hafeez Mujahid Saheb and Moulana Jafar ul Abideen Saheb respectively. Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha provides guidance in managing these institutions. These centres of learning are catering to the needs of people in the entire state of Andhra Pradesh.

Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha laid the foundation of esteemed “Amjadi Masjid” in Shanti Nagar locality of Nagpur in the year 1985. The Amjadi Masjid is considered one of the largest and most beautiful Masjids in Nagpur city. In addition to this, a beautiful Masjid is currently under construction in the city of Jalgaon, Maharashtra by the name of “ Ashraf ul Fuqaha Masjid”. The contruction “ Ashraf ul Fuqaha Masjid” started in the year 2013 and In Sha Allah will be completed in the near future.

It is clearly evident that the spiritual guidance and knowledge of Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha has spread across the globe cutting across all borders. Several of his Students, Mureedeen and Khulafa are spreading the light of knowledge in all corners of the world. Allah Ta’ala grant Hazrat Ashra ful Fuqaha long and healthy life and bless him with more and more success. Hazrat Ashra ful Fuqaha is an extremely pious individual and his objective is only to spread the light of knowledge in any given opportunity. This is precisely the reason that any person who comes in close contact with Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha, finds a paradigm shift in his attitude and is enlightened with the light of his knowledge. Hazrat Ashraul Fuqaha always responds to queries commensurate with the level of understanding of the person posing the questions. The thirst for knowledge is completely quenched by this approach of Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha and the person posing questions is totally satisfied. Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha has the ability to solve any complex problems with utmost ease and rational approach. His patience, vision and knowledge is unparallel. Allah Ta’ala has made Hazrat Ashraf ul Fuqaha a bouquet of many beautiful qualities
